How to prepare your tea Angelina : instructions for use !
The house of Angelina is known worldwide for its teas. The Angelinarange of teas and infusions is made in France and by craftsmen. It includes a dozen references, from the most timeless (Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Breakfast...) to original and now legendary creations (Mont-Blanc, Mélange Angelina, n°226 with cocoa...).
Serving tea in the French style must be done in the right way. So how do you prepare your tea Angelina ? Follow the guide!
To sublimate all its flavours, Angelina tea must be prepared according to a few basic rules:
- Thechoice of water : the water used must be "neutral" so as not to alter the taste of the tea. So make sure that it is pure and odourless. Water that is too hard will prevent the aromas from revealing themselves. Prefer bottled water or, failing that, filtered water.
- Thechoice of container : the tea must be brewed in a container reserved exclusively for this purpose. In this respect, a teapot is the best option. The teapot should never be washed, only rinsed with clear water.
- Dosage of the tea quantity : incorrectly dosing the quantity of tea will not give a good final result. Count about 12g of leaves per litre of water (or 2.5g for a 30cl cup).
- Thewater temperature : the water temperature is decisive. Water that is too hot will burn the tea leaves, while water that is too cold will give an insufficient infusion. The infusion temperatures are indicated on the packaging. Count about 70° for green teas and 90° for black teas.
- The duration of infusion : in the same way, the duration of infusion will be indicated on the packaging. This is the most important step. Green tea must be infused for about 3 minutes (no more, otherwise it will become bitter), while black teas will take 5 minutes.
- The accompaniment : purists will enjoy their tea simply, without milk, lemon or sugar, to benefit from all its flavours!
